Cards for Ms. Burch & Monday Premiere of “Stages”

As you may have seen on band social media, the prognosis for Ms. Burch is, sadly, not good. We’ll be accepting cards and notes for Ms. Burch through Wednesday of this week to give more folks an opportunity to send their support. Bring them to Mr. Fore or drop them off when you pick up your shirt. A simple card with signatures or a note that says “I’m thinking of you” will make a big difference!
As we shared several months ago, Ms. Burch commissioned two band compositions to fulfill a longtime personal goal and to create something positive out of her cancer journey. Composer Brian Balmages and the JMU Wind Symphony will premiere the advanced composition, “Stages,” virtually on Monday, 4/26. The stream will begin at 4:45pm with a 45-minute rehearsal, followed by the premiere performance. All are welcome to watch here: https://youtu.be/msTufF2bqsw.
