The mattress sale was a huge success! We brought in $2000 for the band program. A huge thank you to Sharad Vyas for bringing the event to us and his ongoing support in the planning and execution of the sale. Thanks to all the volunteer set up and break down crews and the mattress mascots as well.

On Thursday, December 5th, the SLHS Band will host the South Lakes HS Band Bonanza from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. This FREE event is open to all pyramid band students in grades 4 – 12. Participants will learn some pieces in sectionals, have dinner, and then give an informal performance for the parents at the end of the evening. Our goal is to show pyramid support and get kids excited about being in band in elementary, middle, and high school. We are asking our high school students to serve as "band buddies" (mentors) for the younger students -- yes, service hours will be given -- and as we are providing dinner, we do need RSVPs. Who can't use a new mattress? Or new sheets?  Just in time for those holiday guests!!
Please spread the word as our Band is going to be selling mattresses at the school on Sunday November 17th from 10am -5pm.  All proceeds will go toward our trip to Indianapolis for the National Band Festival.
