TAG DAY will look a little different this year and will be held virtually from October 24 - 31, 2020.
As many of you know, Tag Day is a decades-old tradition for band programs in Fairfax County, and our band boosters' largest fundraiser of the year. In a typical year, all band students spend one Saturday in September going door-to-door in South Lakes’ neighborhoods collecting donations and leaving flyers for people who aren’t home. This one-day event yields tens of thousands of dollars from our generous community! This year, Tag Day is going virtual! The formal Tag Day(s) campaign will take place Saturday, 10/24 through Saturday, 10/31. Donations can also be made by check. THANK YOU for your continued support! All good things must come to an end, but there is still time to get our fabulous spirit wear. Order your spirit wear through tomorrow at midnight at https://south-lakes-hs-band-boosters-association.square.site/. Production will take about 2 weeks so your items should be ready for contactless pickup by Halloween-- a great time to show off your band masks. Hurry! You don't want to miss this sale.
Band Together Fridays are going strong! This Friday, 10/9, at 7pm, we'll host Zoom hangouts for Clarinets (Bb & Bass Clarinet) and Flutes/Double Reeds (Flutes, Oboes & Bassoons). Students in those sections will receive an email on their FCPS account with a link and details. If you don’t receive an email by Thursday at 8pm, send an email to: [email protected].
