The indoor drumline will be performing in their final event of their inaugural season at the Hampton Coliseum on Sunday, April 3rd at 2:45 pm. There are 13 teams in their division, and will prove to be an exciting day. The students have worked very hard this season and should all be very proud of their accomplishments. Wish them well!

The Winter Guard will be performing in their final competition of the season at the AIA Championships in Hampton VA at the Hampton Coliseum, competing against 14 other schools in their division. This will be the largest stage any of them have competed in. They will be performing at 9:35 am. We wish them well! Here is some information on the Venue and a schedule of events.

The Indoor Drumline had an impressive performance on 3/26 at their second competition  at South County HS. They performed their entire show and were awarded 5th place in their division. This is impressive because this inaugural team is holding their own against schools that have been competing for years AND they beat their last score by over 5 points and had  the audience was cheering wildly! We received some extremely helpful feedback and will be working this week to make next week’s competition even more amazing!

​Congratulations to the South Lakes Concert Bands, the Symphonic Band and the Wind Ensemble, who earned a Superior Rating (the highest rating) in the 2022 District 12 VBODA Assessments. These superior ratings along with the Superior rating of the Marching Band earlier this year earned South Lakes the status of a 2021 - 2022 VBODA Honor Band.
