​SLHS Band was a Virginia Honor Band for the 2025-26 school year:
  • ​Superior Rating at VBODA Marching Band Assessment for 2025-26
  • ​Superior Rating at VBODA Concert Band Assessment for Wind Ensemble for 2025-26
Bands achieving superior ratings at the state marching festival and district concert festival are recognized as Virginia Honor Bands, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon bands by the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors Association (VBODA).
