Important Rules

1.  Performer(s) must be available to perform on Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 between 4 pm and 9 pm at Ned Devine’s, 2465 Centreville Rd, Herndon, VA 20171.
2.  Age - Band members must be 18 years old (high school age) or younger.  Exceptions may be made if at least one performer of the group is within the acceptable age range, at the discretion of program organizers.
3. School - While this event is primarily for South Lakes High School students, other performers/acts may be accepted at the discretion of program organizers.
4.  Performers may only enter and play with one act.
5.  All applications to perform must be received by midnight on January 22, 2020.
6.  For acts that are selected, a registration form must be completed with additional details regarding the performers and songs to be played for use in publicity.  All group members must be listed on the registration form.  Parent or guardian permission to play is required.
7.  If chosen to perform,  performers will have between 10 - 25 minutes to play; exact timing dependent on the number of acts selected.
8.  Performance must be suitable for a family audience; group names and lyrics must be free of obscenities.
9. Performers must be dressed in clothing free from obscenities or references to drugs, sex, or alcohol.
10.  In order to keep everyone safe, groups who encourage moshing or any other potentially dangerous acts will be asked to leave. Additionally, fires, pyrotechnics, fog machines, etc. are not allowed.
11.  Performers must supply their instruments including symbols (PA system, amps, mics,  monitors, and basic drum kit will be provided).
12.  Performers are responsible for the security of their equipment. The SLHS Band Boosters will not be held responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen equipment.
13.  All acts agree to have their name, voice, and/or likenesses used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without any compensation or rights to royalties for such use.
14.  A performance schedule will be provided once finalists are announced.  Performers must check in at least 30 minutes prior to their performance time. 
15.  The SLHS Band Boosters reserves the right to make any necessary changes to program rules and have the final word in any disputes that arise.
