Pot Luck dinner for 29 August and rehearsal schedule
Greetings!
August 29, 2008 will be our first home football game this year. The game will be our first full public performance for the band and we are excited to share our show, The Music of Bernstein, with our families and friends. This tailgate will be our annual summer potluck. Families should bring the following items in a serving size that allows your family plus 3-4 others to share.
- Freshmen/Sophmores - bring entrees
- Juniors - salads
- Seniors - dessert
There will be NO soft drinks served at this dinner. Choice of drink will be water.
The staff and boosters ask that families allow our performing members to eat first so they can get ready for the game. We appreciate your support and participation in the South Lakes Band family.
At the request of our wonderful principal we will be altering the Friday schedule to include a musical performance for the SLHS faculty.
Due to the change of teacher performance we will not have a morning performance on Monday, August 25, 2008. Rehearsal will start at 3pm on Monday August 25, 2008.
The schedule for Friday August 29, 2008 will be:
11:15 am Warm up for Teacher performance
12:00 pm Teacher Performance
12:30 pm Lunch-students should bring a bag lunch.
1:00-4:30 pm Rehearsal
5:00 p.m. Potluck in the cafeteria
6:00 p.m. Dress and prep for the game
7:00 p.m. Pre-game activities
7:30 p.m. Kick off
Estimated end time for the first game is 9:30 p.m. This time may vary depending on events that transpire during the football game.

The simplest fundraiser you can participate in to support South Lakes Band is the eScript program.
